Compact resistance systems

Digital resistance can make a small room remarkably capable, but the hardware, account and long-term service form one purchase.

The question that decides it: What remains useful without an app, account, subscription or replacement electronics?

What actually separates them.

01 · Usable resistance

Check whether the published maximum is total or per cable and how it changes by movement.

02 · Offline function

Confirm which exercises, controls and metrics work without a paid plan or connection.

03 · Movement setup

Compact storage does not guarantee comfortable bench, lat-pulldown or leg-press geometry.

04 · Hardware support

Read electronics coverage, in-home service, replacement policy and account-transfer rules.

Every compact resistance systems product we track.

Timing
Pre-order opened on Speediance’s own store on August 31, 2026 in two payments, and the deposit path has been closed since Sept 10, 2026: the deposit page reads Sold out, its cart form contains exactly one control, disabled, and schema availability is OutOfStock, with a waiting-list email capture in place of a buy control. Re-verified Sept 28, 2026, unchanged. Stating the mechanic more precisely than this entry previously did: the $399.00 paid up front is not a simple deposit against the balance - Speediance’s own terms describe it as buying an exclusive pre-order coupon with an $899 face value that is redeemed against the balance, and the visible three-step block reads "1. $399 TODAY / 2. $899 OFF Exclusive Pre-Order Coupon / 3. $6,100 LATER". A separate full-price listing at $6,999.00 has appeared and is also Sold out.

Timing
Preorder live on Speediance's own store as of Sept 21, 2026. The page now publishes a setup price this entry previously recorded as unpublished: a "Choose Your Gym Nano Setup" selector renders the base Gym Nano at $1,999, itemised as the Gym Nano plus a knob quick-release rack mount, travel case, adapter clip, 65W power adapter, charging cable, screen protector, sliding rack mount and handle. Four higher setups are named — Gym Nano Core, Station, Dual Core and Dual Station — but their prices do not render, so $1,999 is the only figure the page commits to. The $50.00 deposit is unchanged. Phase 1 runs Sep. 8 - Oct. 9, 2026 and takes that deposit to reserve early access; Phase 2 from Oct. 10, 2026 completes the purchase; Phase 3 delivery starts October 2026, shipping in batches with timing varying by order sequence and region.

Timing
Available now at $2,399.00 (regular $3,799.00) as of Sept 18, 2026, sold as a batch reservation rather than from stock: the page states "Next batch ships by October 10.", "Your order will be reserved from our next incoming batch." and "Estimated delivery: 5-10 business days after shipment." No deposit is involved — the word "deposit" does not appear on the page at all; the reservation is at full price. A leftover trust badge still reads "Ships in 1 Business Day", which the batch language contradicts; the October 10 window is the one to plan against. FitTransformer sells the machine as three editions — Titan, Titan Plus and Titan + Sail — selected from one dropdown, and as of Sept 18 they are separately priced. The retail page title is "FitTransformer Titan Strength and Cardio Skiing Machine"; this entry tracks the base Titan edition.

That is up from the $3,195.00 recorded Sept 7, a figure that now occurs zero times in the rendered page and zero times in the raw HTML, and the "Anniversary Deals" badge that framed it no longer renders. Correcting this entry's previous claim that the base package displays sold out: it does not. Basic, Works, Works Plus and Family Plus each carry an enabled Add to Cart and schema.org/InStock. The "Sold Out" text that earlier readings picked up on those four packages is hidden badge markup the page never displays — it appears in textContent and disappears in innerText. The three packages genuinely sold out, with a visible disabled button, are 2S Basic, 2S Works Plus and 2S Family Plus.

Listed on Speediance's own store at $4,099.00 and buyable as of Sept 16, 2026. The one visible "Sold out" button on the page belongs to the predictive-search promotion panel for the Lat Pulldown Kit at $429.00, not to the GM3 — traced through the DOM to confirm. $6,499.00 ($399.00 deposit + $6,100.00 balance) · Pre-order opened on Speediance’s own store on August 31, 2026 in two payments, and the deposit path has been closed since Sept 10, 2026: the deposit page reads Sold out, its cart form contains exactly one control, disabled, and schema availability is OutOfStock, with a waiting-list email capture in place of a buy control.

Up to 260 lb of digital resistance with new lat-pulldown and leg-press modules in a professional all-in-one platform.

Why it matters: The attachments move digital gyms closer to the heavy bilateral patterns that conventional smart trainers often miss.

Watch for: The $6,999.00 full-price listing sits $500 above the $6,499 implied by the two-payment route ($399 up front plus a $6,100 balance), so which number a buyer pays depends entirely on which path reopens - confirm the all-in figure before committing. The October 2026 balance window is unchanged and has not firmed, stated verbatim in the collapsed Pre-Order Terms modal as "We expect to invite customers to complete their balance payment in October 2026 (the exact timing may be adjusted due to production, inventory, or logistics conditions; the latest official notice will govern)". That sentence renders zero times only because the modal is collapsed, not because it was removed - do not read its absence as a change. No second batch has opened and no date narrowing has appeared. Subscription terms, offline mode, eccentric limits, attachment storage, repair path and what happens if software support ends are all still unstated.

Gym Nano

$1,999.00 base setup ($50.00 deposit to reserve) · Preorder live on Speediance's own store as of Sept 21, 2026. An 8.2-kg portable resistance engine with up to 220 lb and a velocity-based assess, train and validate loop.

Why it matters: It could provide travel-friendly heavy resistance and objective velocity feedback without a permanent machine.

Watch for: The $50 deposit buys a stated 10% off the final purchase, worth $200-$440 by bundle, but Speediance publishes no bundle price on the preorder page - the $1,999 to $4,398 figures there are the spend thresholds the discount tiers attach to, not configurations. Accessories and the Gym Nano Standalone setup are excluded from the offer. The page advertises 220 lb smart resistance and five training modes. Anchoring, usable exercises, battery and power needs, app dependence, force accuracy and the eventual list price all remain unstated.

Released

CoreForge Fitness

DynaCore Trainer

$199.00 · Listed at $199.00 on coreforgefitness.com and described as "Out of stock but in production!" as of Sept 9, 2026

A 180-degree multi-planar core trainer paired with guided exercises and motion-based games.

Why it matters: It makes transverse-plane training more measurable and may improve adherence for clients who find conventional core work dull.

Watch for: The $149.00 preorder price the index previously carried is gone — the literal string "$149" no longer appears anywhere on the product page, and neither does the word preorder. The page now shows "Regular price $199.00 USD" and "Sale price $199.00 USD", identical figures, meaning no discount is running. CoreForge describes the trainer as "Out of stock but in production!" and publishes no ship or restock date at all, so there is no way to tell when an order would arrive. Checkout also carries deferred-charge language authorizing CoreForge to charge the payment method "until my order is fulfilled or I cancel" — read that before entering a card. Beyond the buying mechanics, the original open questions stand: resistance method, user fit, movement quality, subscription cost, floor space, and whether the games remain useful after the novelty fades.

Sensol Smart Reformers (RS02 / RS03)

$2,000.00 - $2,800.00 (four models; all sold out) · No machine is actually named "Smart Reformer" - it is a Sensol collection holding four separately priced models, all sold out as of Sept 7, 2026: RS02 $2,000.00, RS02 PRO $2,400.00, RS03 $2,400.00 and RS03 PRO $2,800.00.

A line of connected reformers intended to combine Pilates and strength training with a guided tutorial library, sold as RS02 and RS03 in standard and PRO trims. Sensol's wider catalogue adds three FLEX models - FLEX AIR $650.00, FLEX $1,200.00 and FLEX PRO $1,800.00 - which are also sold out.

Why it matters: It reflects the rapid collision of reformer Pilates, strength equipment and connected coaching.

Watch for: Every one of Sensol's seven listed products is sold out, so there is currently no direct buying path at all. A site-wide banner still directs buyers to retail partner Vesta Fitness to purchase "an in-stock Sensol unit before June 2026" - a deadline that has already passed and has not been updated, which makes the real purchase route unclear. What separates RS02 from RS03, and standard from PRO, is not stated. Hardware resistance range, ongoing software cost, offline use and repairability remain unverified.

FitTransformer Titan
Released

FitTransformer

Titan

$2,399.00 (Titan; regular $3,799.00) / $2,699.00 (Titan Plus) / $3,699.00 (Titan + Sail) · Available now at $2,399.00 (regular $3,799.00) as of Sept 18, 2026, sold as a batch reservation rather than from stock: the page states "Next batch ships by October 10.", "Your order will be reserved from our next incoming batch." and "Estimated delivery: 5-10 business days after shipment." No deposit is involved — the word "deposit" does not appear on the page at all; the reservation is at full price.

Modular 11-in-1 digital resistance system with dual articulating arms and an interchangeable "Power Core" motor module, delivering up to 264 lb (132 lb per side) with 5.1 m of cable travel and no monthly subscription.

Why it matters: It undercuts subscription-gated competitors on ongoing cost while matching dual 260-lb mechanical stacks, and its open attachment ecosystem accepts standard bars and ropes instead of locking you into proprietary accessories.

Watch for: The Power Core motor is a single point of failure — a replacement module runs about $1,500, nearly two-thirds of the hardware cost. There are no squat J-hooks, and lying presses lack a smart-ring cutoff, so heavy solo work from a bench position carries real risk. Edition question, partly settled Sept 18, 2026: the three editions no longer share one price — Titan $2,399.00, Titan Plus $2,699.00, Titan + Sail $3,699.00, each confirmed on its own variant URL — but what the extra $300 and $1,300 buy is still not published. With every collapsed section expanded, "Titan Plus" and "Titan + Sail" appear only as picker labels, with no comparison table, spec delta or inclusion list anywhere on the page. The brand has also added "Skiing Machine" to the retail title, which the specs on this entry do not describe; confirm what the Sail edition is before treating the three as interchangeable. The "only 3 items left in stock" scarcity counter present on Sept 11 is gone as of Sept 18 (0 rendered and 0 raw), so do not treat that urgency claim as standing.

Gym Monster 2

$3,387.00 (sale; $3,849.00 regular) · $3,387.00 for the Basic package as of Sept 21, 2026, rendered as "$3,387.00 $3,849.00 Save $462.00"; the $3,849.00 regular price is unchanged. That is up from the $3,195.00 recorded Sept 7, a figure that now occurs zero times in the rendered page and zero times in the raw HTML, and the "Anniversary Deals" badge that framed it no longer renders. The three packages genuinely sold out, with a visible disabled button, are 2S Basic, 2S Works Plus and 2S Family Plus.

Freestanding smart trainer using dual direct-drive motors for up to 100 kg (220 lb) of digital resistance, folding to a 0.25 m² / 37 cm-deep footprint with no permanent floor or wall mounting.

Why it matters: It packs a full functional trainer's movement range into a footprint that folds away in an apartment, and ships with 500+ free guided workouts instead of gating core training behind a subscription.

Watch for: At 187 lb and freestanding, it is not anchored and needs supervision around small children. The 220-lb ceiling is light for serious powerlifting squats and deadlifts, and some testers flagged a fiddly touchscreen and an overly sensitive Bluetooth ring.

Tonal 2

$3,436.00 (20% discount, re-dated to 9/28/26; $4,295.00 MSRP) · Available now; $3,436 during a 20% discount, $4,295 MSRP. The discount did not expire on the 9/21/26 date this entry previously recorded - it was extended and re-dated. As of Sept 28, 2026 the page renders a 20% OFF badge, a site banner reading "Ends Tonight: Save 20%*", and terms headed END OF SUMMER SALE TERMS & CONDITIONS stating verbatim "Save 20% on a Tonal 2 Trainer (savings $859, MSRP $4,295) or Tonal 1 Certified Refurbished Trainer (savings $499, MSRP $2,495). Prices exclude taxes, accessories, membership & installation. Offer valid thru 9/28/26." The price itself has not moved; only the deadline has.

Wall-mounted digital resistance system delivering up to 90.7 kg (200 lb) through two arms, with a mandatory monthly subscription required to unlock guided programming and tracking.

Why it matters: It is the most established wall-mounted digital-resistance system on the market and a useful price-and-experience anchor against newer freestanding competitors.

Watch for: The headline price is not the cost of ownership: Tonal states a separate membership on a 12-month commitment, verbatim "Each Tonal purchase requires a 12-month membership commitment ($59.95/mo. + applicable taxes) that enables your personalized training experience. Active membership is required for most features. Activation and payment is completed on Tonal after installation." Treat the discount deadline as soft rather than real - it was published as ending 9/21/26, then re-dated to 9/28/26 with the same 20% and the same $3,436, which means a stated end date on this page has now failed to end the sale once. Do not let a countdown drive the decision; check the $4,295 MSRP as the comparison price. Delivery and installation cost is still not published as a usable figure: the visible page says only "Enter your zip code to calculate delivery and installation cost" and that delivery can be scheduled in 1-4 weeks once ordered. Refining an earlier claim in this entry - "$295" is no longer absent from the page source, occurring twice in raw HTML as of Sept 28, but both occurrences sit inside a wrapper with computed display:none and render zero times, so the figure remains unreachable to a reader and unusable as a quote. Budget for an unquoted install charge. Other published add-ons: Essential Accessories Bundle +$495, Ultimate +$595, 4-year protection $425, 5-year $449.

Beyond Power

Voltra I

$2,199.00 · Back in stock on Beyond Power's own store at $2,199.00 for the core unit as of Sept 15, 2026, with Add to Cart visible and enabled; the buy bar shows a rolling delivery estimate that read "Expected arrival date: Sep. 22" at this check. That estimate moves between checks and is not a shipping commitment.

Shoebox-sized portable digital cable trainer delivering up to 200 lb of resistance, with independently programmable concentric and eccentric loading and a synthetic cable reviewers rate as stronger than steel.

Why it matters: It is the most travel-friendly heavy-digital-resistance option here, and separate concentric/eccentric programming supports overload techniques fixed-resistance trainers cannot replicate.

Watch for: The $2,200 base package covers only the core unit — rack mounts and floor platforms are separate purchases that push the real cost well past the sticker price. There is no Android app yet, so non-iOS users cannot change weights or load resistance profiles remotely.

Speediance

Gym Monster 3

$4,099.00 · Listed on Speediance's own store at $4,099.00 and buyable as of Sept 16, 2026. The stock state this entry previously called unreadable has now been settled by a rendered read: the sticky buy bar renders "Speediance Gym Monster 3 $4,099.00 Add to Cart" with a visible, enabled Add to Cart, alongside three visible enabled bundle buttons (Core $4,099.00 / Studio $4,399.00 / Station $4,799.00, where Core is the base machine plus an accessory kit at the same price). The one visible "Sold out" button on the page belongs to the predictive-search promotion panel for the Lat Pulldown Kit at $429.00, not to the GM3 — traced through the DOM to confirm. Raw-HTML schema markup is not usable here: it carries InStock 26 times and OutOfStock 15 times on the same page.

The third-generation Gym Monster, built on direct-drive motors with a 23.8-inch touchscreen and a stated footprint under 9 sq ft. Speediance publishes 220 lb of maximum resistance on the GM3 and 260 lb on the GM3S, which is the only difference the page states between the two models.

Why it matters: It sits $904 above the Gym Monster 2's current sale price for 220 lb of the same digital resistance, so the case for it rests on the larger screen and the 3S resistance ceiling rather than on capability a GM2 buyer is missing.

Watch for: Speediance does not publish the unit weight, folded dimensions, or unfolded dimensions on this page, and the Wellness+ AI coaching service is a separate purchase whose price is not quoted here - so neither the true footprint nor the cost of ownership can be settled from the product page. Confirm what the GM3S premium actually costs before assuming 260 lb is reachable at $4,099.00. The $4,099.00 currently carries an "Anniversary Deals" badge with no compare-at price behind it, so there is no published regular price to say it is discounted from.
