Plan the usable home gym footprint

The listed footprint is only the metal touching the floor.

01

Add working clearance

Include the barbell sleeve, cable handle path, door or lever movement and the space required to load plates.

02

Look upward

Pull-up bars, overhead presses and pulley travel can make ceiling height the limiting dimension.

03

Mock it up

Use painter's tape to mark the frame and working area. Move a bench through the layout before committing.

04

Plan the parked footprint

Record where the bench, attachments and loose handles live between sessions. Compare equipment weight, wheels, transport handles and manufacturer-approved vertical storage before assuming a multi-use room can reset quickly.
