Conditioning & hybrid equipment

New sleds, flywheels and convertible cardio tools promise more training from one footprint. Decide whether the second job is genuinely useful.

The question that decides it: Does the new resistance method improve training enough to justify another footprint?

What actually separates them.

01 · Resistance behavior

Magnetic, air and inertial systems respond differently to speed and effort.

02 · Training purpose

Separate strength-power work from steady cardio, intervals and rehabilitation.

03 · Noise and surface

Sled tires, fans, ropes and mounting systems can change where a product is practical.

04 · Storage state

Measure how the product parks, folds or mounts — not only its training position.

Every conditioning and hybrid equipment product we track.

Available now at $1,299.99 on REP's own product page as of Sept 15, 2026, with an enabled Add to Cart. REP publishes a ROLLING per-order estimate that recalculates daily rather than a fixed ship date: on Sept 15 it read "Orders placed on September 15, 2026 are estimated to start shipping by September 24, 2026", a nine-day lead, against a seven-day lead a week earlier. REP adds that these "are estimates based on current production and are not guaranteed". The page simultaneously displays "Ships within 24-48 hours", which contradicts the nine-day estimate; REP does not reconcile the two. REP's /pages/new-products listing still labels it "COMING SOON" - that listing is stale; the product page is the accurate one.

Rogue Fitness Air Rhino

Rogue Fitness

Air Rhino

$1,295.00 · Orderable at $1,295.00 with a visible, enabled Add to Cart; Rogue states "Ships in 10-14 Days" as of Sept 20, 2026. The "Ships in 14-30 Days" window this entry previously cited is no longer published anywhere on the page.

A concentric-only resistance platform with two modes: air resistance via a 1-10 damper, and a magnetic 'Rhino mode' toggle rated up to 1,200 lb. A separate clutch lever fully disengages all resistance so the lifter can set up unloaded, then re-engage from position.

Aluminum frame, plywood platform, height-adjustable handles, turf tires, roughly 95-100 in of cable travel.

Monitor reports force curve, pounds, watts, calories and distance over Bluetooth and ANT+.

Why it matters: It combines strength intent, low soreness and self-limiting resistance in a tool that could serve performance, rehabilitation and high-frequency training.

Watch for: Whether the concentric-only profile suits the buyer's goal — it is self-limiting and safe to failure but gives up eccentric loading. Also: platform stability for heavy pullers, no fold-flat storage, and rack fit — it is sized for a 49-in Monster rack but will not fit if crossmember hardware is already installed. The $1,295.00 figure is the stand-alone configuration. Rogue also lists two rack-mount versions at $1,395.00 — IP0950-58RM for 5/8-inch hardware and IP0950-1.0RM for 1-inch — so confirm which one a quoted price refers to before budgeting.

A multidirectional magnetic-resistance sled with swivel movement, airless tires, multiple handles and a performance display.

Why it matters: It combines the smaller M1 body with M3-style turning, making indoor circuits and client direction changes more practical.

Watch for: Floor compatibility, turning radius, display usefulness, transport weight and value relative to a basic M1.

A quick-mount system that converts a Concept2 RowErg into a wall- or rack-mounted ski trainer, including a split low-ceiling setup.

Why it matters: It gives one proven cardio machine two movement patterns without buying and storing a separate SkiErg.

Watch for: Conversion time, RowErg warranty implications, mount rigidity, floor protection and whether low-ceiling kneeling work is appealing.

Hybrid Rower

$1,995.00 with preorder deposit ($2,995.00 list) · Preorder open; $2,995.00 list with $1,000 off via a $500 fully refundable deposit; ChiselFit states "Delivers Fall 2026" as of Sept 9, 2026

Chisel Fit's patented "Dynamic Angle Motion" hybrid rower, now with a named product page and full feature list following its HomeGymCon debut.

Why it matters: It may join the trend of cardio machines that provide more than one resistance or movement mode.

Watch for: ChiselFit now states a shipping window where it previously stated none: "Shipping begins Fall 2026 in the order received", with "earliest pre-orders fulfilled first". That is a season, not a date, and no firmer commitment is published. Understand the money structure before ordering: the $1,995.00 figure is not a list price, it is $2,995.00 less a $1,000 discount that is conditional on placing a $500 fully refundable deposit, and the "Remaining Balance Due 2 Weeks Prior to Shipping" — so the balance falls due on ChiselFit's schedule, not yours. In-home professional assembly is a separate $195.00 per unit. Independent reviews still do not exist; nobody outside the company has used the Dynamic Angle Motion mechanism. Also note the page still advertises "we are offering Free Shipping until August 1st", an offer that expired over five weeks ago and is stale copy — do not count on it.

Freemax Fitness

Next-Generation Flywheel Systems

Show-floor prototypes

New flywheel resistance systems accompanied the company's updated numbered weight releasers.

Why it matters: Flywheel resistance is moving from niche athletic equipment toward more compact home-gym integrations.

Watch for: This entry no longer has a live source, and that is now the most important thing about it. HomeGymCon's vendors page — the entry's only source, and the only place the phrase "next-generation flywheel resistance training systems" was ever attributed to Freemax — was rebuilt by Oct 1, 2026 into a bare three-column booth table (Vendor / Space / Booth #) with every vendor description stripped out. A check on Oct 1 found no match for "flywheel" anywhere on that page, and Freemax appears nowhere on HomeGymCon's new-product-releases page either. So the claim that Freemax is building flywheel systems is no longer merely unconfirmed by the brand; the third-party text that made the claim has been deleted. The brand side is unchanged and was re-verified the same day against Freemax's full catalogue, which has grown to 40 products: there is still no flywheel product of any kind. The catalogue is weight releasers, loading pins, loop kits, a squat harness, calibrated plate sets, loadable dumbbells and apparel. The single occurrence of "flywheel" across all 40 product descriptions is a compatibility aside in the copy for Core-Saber, a $69.00 knurled aluminium bar: "It works great with resistance bands, flywheels, or cable pulleys." That is a mention of other people's flywheels, not a flywheel product. The earlier framing of this as "two sources disagree" is therefore obsolete — one of the two sources is gone. There is nothing here a buyer can act on, and this entry is now a candidate for retirement rather than continued watching. That call is editorial and has not been made here.

Q-ROPE

$630.00 · Live on the brand’s US store at $630.00 as of Sept 28, 2026, with a visible enabled ADD TO CART and multi-unit pricing re-confirmed at $598.50 each for two ($1,260.00) and $567.00 each for four ($2,520.00).

A compact endless-rope trainer. The official store lists free US shipping in 4-8 days, 30-day returns and a 3-year warranty; specification detail beyond that remains thin.

Why it matters: Endless rope work can provide upper-body conditioning in a small footprint and is easy to scale for clients.

Watch for: Resistance adjustment, mounting, rope wear, noise and service. Correcting this entry on the companion product: the Q-Tail is NOT on pre-sale. As of Sept 28, 2026 its page reads available:false, carries no Add to Cart anywhere, and offers only a NOTIFY ME control under copy stating "One email when the pre-sale opens, with your discount code. Nothing else." So the pre-sale has either not opened yet or was pulled; either way nothing can be bought. Three price points render on that page - $620, $650 and $680 - rather than the single "from $620.00" figure this entry previously carried, so the configuration behind each is unconfirmed. The arrival window has not firmed and still reads "ARRIVING OCTOBER TO NOVEMBER 2026" with October days away.

Strive Air Bike (VPR)

$1,299.99 · Available now at $1,299.99 on REP's own product page as of Sept 15, 2026, with an enabled Add to Cart.

Air bike with Variable Pitch Resistance (VPR) — a center throttle that mechanically adjusts the fan blade angle across an 8-level range, from low-drag Zone 2 recovery riding through standard fan-bike HIIT to high-drag, low-cadence strength climbs.

Why it matters: One bike now covers a range that previously required separate recovery and sprint equipment, and the strength-climb levels (7-8) load the posterior chain and upper body in a way fixed-fan bikes cannot.

Watch for: At $1,299 it costs meaningfully more than standard air bikes like the Rogue Echo. The VPR lever has no precise tactile feedback between levels, making it hard to return to an identical setting session to session, and the adjustable-pitch fan is new enough that long-term durability data does not exist yet.

Strive Treadmill

$3,799.99 · $3,799.99 and orderable as of Sept 15, 2026. The September 15, 2026 ship date recorded earlier was a rolling per-order estimate rather than a fixed date, and it has recalculated: the page now reads "Orders placed on September 15, 2026 are estimated to start shipping by September 24, 2026", plus "Not currently available for discount."

Curved slat-belt treadmill with 8 resistance levels combining magnetic and mechanical clutch resistance, third-party Bluetooth/ANT+ app support and an adjustable deck angle.

Why it matters: The mechanical clutch can fully disengage for free-run sprint work or engage to simulate a sled push, giving one machine two distinct training modes that fixed-belt curved treadmills cannot match.

Watch for: At $3,799.99 it is the most expensive curved treadmill in this set — compare its clutch mechanism and adjustable deck against simpler, cheaper curved belts before assuming the extra modes are worth the premium.

SF-X7110 Treadmill

$2,499.99 · Available now at $2,499.99, in stock with an enabled Add to Cart as of Sept 15, 2026. Sunny has moved the product URL: the previously recorded slug (smart-ultra-manual-treadmill-...) now 301-redirects to smart-manual-treadmill-..., dropping "ultra" from the address. The page also offers a bundle selector, "Standard" by default against an "Advanced" upgrade priced at an additional $1,500.00.

Curved treadmill with a rubber, alloy-core belt designed to minimize lateral oscillation at speed, an 8-level tension lever and the free SunnyFit app.

Why it matters: The alloy-core belt construction is a specific answer to the side-to-side wobble that cheaper curved belts develop at higher speeds.

Watch for: A lever-based tension system is coarser than the electronically graduated resistance on the SOLE C80 or REP Strive — compare feel, not just the level count, before choosing on price alone.

SOLE C80 Treadmill

SOLE

C80 Treadmill

$2,399.99 · Available now at $2,399.99 on SOLE's own store, with an enabled Add to Cart carrying that figure. The $200 discount this entry tracked through two renamings has now ENDED on schedule: the "BACK ON TRACK SALE - SAVE $200.00" badge ran to its stated Sept 27, 2026 date and was not extended a third time. As of Sept 30, 2026 the page shows no strikethrough, no compare-at price and no sale badge in the buy box, and "back on track", "labor day" and "save $200" all return zero occurrences in the raw markup. The only live promotion is shipping rather than price: free curbside shipping stated as "a $99.99 value", with a countdown reading "Free Shipping Week Ends Oct 4". Delivery is curbside LTL freight, stated as 10-14 business days.

Curved, interlocking slat-belt treadmill with 8 magnetic resistance levels, the free SOLE+ app and a lifetime frame warranty.

Why it matters: Expo coverage singled it out as the best durability-to-dollar curved treadmill at its price, backed by a frame warranty stronger than most competitors offer.

Watch for: Magnetic-only resistance means no clutch-driven free-run or sled-push mode — compare against the REP Strive if you want that extra behavior, not just the warranty. One reading trap on this page, recorded because it would mislead a human comparing prices as easily as a script: SOLE's own comparison table renders $2,199.99 and $2,899.99 as visible text on the C80's page, and $2,199.99 is the figure this product carried while the sale ran. Those are other models' columns. This product's own column is marked $2,399.99, and the price in the Add to Cart control is the one to trust.

AbMat

Drop Zone Pads

CHF 339 / EUR 339 per pair in Europe; still not listed on AbMat's US site as of Sept 8, 2026. Re-verified by enumerating the 23-product new-products collection and searching abmat.com for "drop zone" (23 results, none matching). The nearest US SKUs are Crash Cushions $250.00, DC Blocks x Crash Cushions $175.00 and Log Crash Cushions $395.00.

Impact-absorbing floor pads (60 x 100 cm, 27 cm thick, roughly 7 kg each) rated to absorb a 250 kg barbell dropped from 150 cm without bounce.

Why it matters: They are a genuine fix for barbell bounce and noise on heavy drops — useful for apartments, shared garages or any space where a bouncing bar or floor impact is the limiting factor, not the weight itself.

Watch for: At roughly €339 a pair, they cost far more than standard 15 cm foam drop blocks — worth it mainly if bounce and noise, not price, are the actual problem you are solving.

2026 fitness expo research (CES/FIBO/HFA/Home Gym Con)

Which way to go.

Choose a sled

Best for simple, scalable pushing and pulling with little technique barrier.

Choose flywheel resistance

Best for effort-scaled power work and concentric-focused training.

Choose a convertible tool

Best when both modes are convenient enough that neither feels like a workaround.
